Tips from Ellen – social savings, early college programs, and cash backs

Ellen, one of the participants of Finance at Work’s brown bag session last Friday, shared with us these tips.  If you see Ellen, please say thank you to her.

  1. Early college programs – According to Ellen, students have to have 250 community service hours to graduate, and that looks really great on a resume for college. Also, when they leave the high school program they are still eligible for first year at college type of scholarships, even though they might be entering their junior year.  Here’s another article.
  2. Great cash backs – up to $600 a year from PerkStreet.
  3. Social Banking from SmartyPig

Thank you Ellen for these wonderful tips on Yammer. I hope you don’t mind I the re-post here.
