Physicians Referral Service and Human Resources Benefits are helping us get into fine fiscal shape for the new year with the 2011 Retirement Education Series. The free sessions begin now and run through August. View the schedule.
The first session, “Save for Tomorrow, Start Today,” introduces us to our retirement options. It’ll be held Thursday, Jan. 13, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., in the Main Building, Floor 11, Brochstein Conference Room (R11.2113). The seminar will be repeated Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2:30-3:30 p.m., in the Main Building, Floor 11, Anderson Conference Hall, Rooms 7-8. Registration isn’t required for either session.
The series features three levels you can choose from, based on your current financial knowledge and interest level. Attend the sessions that are right for you, or attend all seminars for a complete retirement work out.
Level 1: Set your fiscal foundation by exploring basic retirement plan concepts, including understanding the Teacher Retirement System and our voluntary retirement savings plans.
Level 2: Increase your fiscal knowledge by targeting specific retirement planning topics, such as asset allocation and tax planning.
Level 3: Push your knowledge further, focusing on how all of your retirement options fit together and exploring how market conditions could affect your plan.
I’m happy to report I’ve signed up for all 3 levels. Hope to see ya’ll there.
